61-year-old Yerlan Turgumbayev is married to Rima Dzhansaraeva. The wife of the country’s chief police officer is a doctor of law and a professor at KazNU. From 2008 to the present day, she has been the head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminalistics at the National University.

By the way, Turgumbayev himself is a candidate of legal sciences. It is symbolic that the topic of his dissertation in 2004 is "Criminal Liability for Abuse of Power or Official Authority". Under the same article, 20 years later, he fell into the orbit of the investigation.

The couple has two children: 37-year-old Marlen Turgumbayev and 23-year-old Margulan Turgumbayev.

The eldest of the sons, Marlen Turgumbayev, like his mother, is a doctor of law. He received his degree in 2014 at KazNU, but not at the department where Dzhansaraeva is headed, but at the department of theory. His dissertation was devoted to "The Institute of Crime and Punishment in Islamic Law".

At the same time, in the same year, the eldest of the Turgumbayevs, together with his mother, wrote a whole monograph on the topic "Penitentiary Crime and the Legal Mechanism for Ensuring Penitentiary Security". The study was published in Vienna, Austria.

But despite this, Turgumbayev did not follow in his mother’s footsteps and did not continue his scientific activities, but decided to open his own business.

He now owns Target Plus, a company that hosts applications and applications. The LLP has been operating since 2022. At the same time, the company was re-registered relatively recently - on February 27, 2024. This is due to the fact that the head of the company until that time was a certain Gulzhan Nasibullaeva.

The estimated annual revenue of LLP for 2022 exceeded 84 million tenge, and in 2023 amounted to almost 195 million tenge.

Also, the eldest of the Turgumbayev brothers, Marlene, owns the Krysha IE. It was registered in July 2023.

About the youngest son of Margulan Turgumbayev, it is only known that he is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
